Hearing Tests in Stroud

When you’re struggling to listen to music, watch TV the way you used to and engage in conversations with friends or colleagues, hearing loss can have a huge impact on your everyday life. Poor hearing can negatively affect your physical and mental health, and your social life, so it’s important to diagnose the problem as soon as you can.

At our Stroud hearing clinic, serving Stroud and the local Gloucestershire communities, we offer free hearing tests and hearing health checks. We test for all different kinds of hearing loss and we can provide treatments and hearing devices to help improve your hearing. We also carry out wax removal procedures that are quick, effective and carried out by our audiologist, with years of experience. Get in touch with our expert hearing team, based at Stroud Vision Centre if you think wax removal could improve your hearing.

Our Stroud hearing service at Stroud Vision Centre, is close to the High Street and easy to find. We are located on George Street in the centre of Stroud, opposite HSBC bank and a couple of doors down from Timpsons. The on-street parking outside our practice is limited to 30 minutes, so we recommend using one of Stroud’s several car parks, including the multi-storey on London Road, all within a short walking distance of the practice. The nearest bus stop is around the corner on Russell Street, and we are also within walking distance of Stroud train centre.

MEET OUR AUDIOLOGIST

Nick Thomas

Nick has been in audiology for over 5 years, having studied at Mary Hare Newbury under Oxford Brooks University. After qualifying he also trained in wax removal. Nick believes the most enjoyable part of his job is meeting and helping clients with hearing difficulties. He finds it an extremely satisfying profession, meeting clients and helping them to improve their hearing.

Nick has three children and two grandchildren that take up a great deal of his spare time. When not with them, and weather permitting, he says there is nothing better than rolling his Harley Davidson out of the garage and hitting the open road. Top of Nick’s bucket list is to take his Harley to America’s Yellowstone national park.
