Audiologist – Ian Mckendrick

Ian qualified as an Audiologist in September 1995 by completing the BAAT part 1 and 2 exams. Before joining Amplify in November 2025, on qualifying he worked for the NHS in Scotland where he ended his time as the Chief Audiologist -Adult Service before moving to England in 2014, where he took a position with a nationwide domiciliary provider and for the last 8 years he was their Clinical Lead. Ian loves the interactions with people, listening to their stories and finding out about their difficulties to ensure he can help them on their hearing journey, providing them with support and solutions such as hearing aids and ensuring they get the best possible outcome. Ian’s passion for Audiology is also on a personal level as his youngest twin grandchildren Mabel and Hamish were born with hearing loss and wear hearing aids. Outside of work Ian enjoys spending time with his family and his 5 grandchildren keep him young, he also likes socializing with friends and travelling.
