Signia hearing aids

Signia is known for helping people keep up with group conversations in noisy places, the situation many hearing aid wearers find hardest.

Signia’s newest hearing aid is the Signia Pure Charge&Go MaX, the first model on Signia’s new MaX platform. Signia says it’s the first hearing aid to use four separate AI systems working together, to understand speech, noise, your surroundings and your own voice all at once.

5 reasons to choose Signia MaX

  • Built for group conversations: MaX is designed for dinners, family gatherings and meetings where several people are talking at once. It picks out and enhances the different people you’re talking with, not just the person in front of you. In Signia’s own testing, 97% of people did better with MaX in noisy group conversations.
  • Your own voice sounds natural: Many new wearers dislike how their own voice sounds through hearing aids. MaX recognises your voice automatically and processes it separately, with no special set-up needed at your fitting.
  • It adapts to the whole situation: Rather than just turning noise down, MaX looks at the full listening environment and adjusts accordingly, so the world still sounds lively and natural.
  • All-day battery, quick top-ups: Up to 28 hours from a single charge, including 5 hours of streaming, according to Signia. A 30-minute top-up gives up to 6 more hours.
  • Connects to almost anything: MaX works with Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth LE Audio for calls, music and TV, and has a telecoil for hearing loops. Auracast support is also being added by a software update through the Signia One app.

Signia MaX: features & benefits

Signia calls the technology behind MaX Acoustic Intelligence. Most AI hearing aids use artificial intelligence mainly to reduce noise. MaX uses 4 AI systems (deep neural networks), each trained on a different job, and they share information in real time:

  1. Speech detection: finds the voices around you.
  2. Own voice detection: recognises when you’re speaking.
  3. Scene analysis: understands the type of place you’re in.
  4. Noise processing: manages the background noise.

RealTime Conversation Enhancement AI: Signia’s speech-in-noise technology now uses AI to locate and enhance several conversation partners at once, in lively group settings.

Own Voice Processing AI: Your own voice is recognised automatically, with no calibration needed at your appointment, so it sounds natural from day one.

More comfort outdoors and in busy places: New versions of Signia’s eWindScreen and SoundSmoothing soften wind and sudden noises, such as clattering plates or a door banging, without making speech less clear.

Signia One app and Signia Assistant: Adjust your hearing aids from your phone. The Signia Assistant now understands everyday language, so you can describe a problem in your own words and get help between appointments.

Signia Pure Charge&Go MaX hearing aids

The first hearing aid on Signia’s new MaX platform. Pure Charge&Go MaX is a slim, rechargeable receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aid that sits discreetly behind the ear.

All-day power: up to 28 hours from a single charge, including 5 hours of streaming, according to Signia. A 30-minute top-up gives up to 6 more hours.

Charge on the go: an optional portable charger holds up to four extra full charges, which is handy for holidays and busy days.

OneConnect technology: Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth LE Audio for streaming calls, music and TV from almost any phone. There’s also a telecoil for hearing loop systems in theatres, banks and places of worship.

Signia Styletto IX hearing aids

We expect more MaX models will follow. In the meantime, if a behind-the-ear, custom or instant-fit style would suit you better, Signia’s previous platform, Signia IX, offers a wide choice of styles built around the same goal of clearer group conversation.

The Signia Styletto hearing aid is a small RIC (receiver in the ear) that offers a slimmer, more elegant, and stylish design.

It has been designed with elegance, style and aesthetics in mind and is available in a range of 7 colours.

Signia Active Pro IX hearing aids

Another new hearing aid from Signia. The Active Pro is a rechargeable earbud style hearing aid that sits in the ear.

Active Pro is IP68 certified so it’s ready for active lifestyles where it needs to work perfectly in environments and challenging circumstances where it might be exposed moisture, dust or sweat.

Signia Active Pro IX is available in 6 colours.

Signia Silk hearing aids are also tiny for ultimate levels of discretion. They are custom-made CIC (completely in the canal) hearing aids that go almost completely unnoticed when they are sat in your ear.

Silk is Signia’s newest discreet hearing aid on their IX platform and come in 2 colours.

More information & advice

Signia has focused its MaX platform on one of the most common complaints from hearing aid wearers: keeping up when several people are talking in a noisy room. Rather than simply making the room quieter, MaX tries to understand everything going on, from who’s speaking and where you are to when you’re talking yourself. That way you stay part of the conversation, not shut off from it.

Is MaX right for you? If restaurants, family get-togethers and meetings are where you struggle most, Pure Charge&Go MaX is well worth have a chat about with your local Amplify audiologist. If you need a different style, such as a custom in-the-ear or more powerful behind-the-ear model, Signia IX is currently the range to look at. Your local Amplify audiologist will help you find the best fit.
